Sage Advice

Have you had the opportunity to attend our new Watermark University course Sage Advice? Sage Advice gives residents an opportunity to share their wisdom with others facing life challenges. Twice a month we will answer confidential notes from people in need of your advice. The answers will be posted on our very own Facebook page so the world can read your wisdom.

Our first letter came from a resident who wrote: “I lost my wife after 61 years of marriage, my brother who was 90 years old, daughter and son in law in their 60s all within 2 years. How do you recommend I cope with this situation?”

Resident response: “The best way to cope with this situation is to honor their memory. Be the person they would be proud of and carry out the will to thrive each and every day. Remember and celebrate the lives of your loved ones. Possibilities include donating to a favorite charity of the loved one or, framing photos of fun times.”

Sage Advice meets every other Sat. Join us to make a difference in the lives around us.
